So,

You can count today as progress, or you can consider today a large step back. Either way, it's been one crazy day. I quit one job today and recommitted to another. Ironically, I don't know if they actually have any need for me... and if they do, it won't last long...

Aside from that, the big troubles that ever single living human being continue to press at me daily. As I took my "calm down, think clearly, and get some exercise too" hike this afternoon, some song lyrics I hadn't heard in a very long time jumped to mind. So, I close in calling back lyrics that I remember so vividly. Hard to believe it's been almost a year since these guys called it quits... wow.

Ha, here's one for the nerds...

Here's one for all you nerds. I found this thing on the computer today at work and was like "what the heck would this EVER be used for.. it's POINTLESS"

Well, go figure... just a few minutes ago, I was stuck with one of the most difficult pieces of what I call "paradox coding" -- or better defined as -- "why the heck doesn't this work" coding in my life. I won't go into detail, but it sucked.


The solution?

This dumb script I found on my computer earlier today and complained about it's uselessness... ha! Go figure...

Well...

We're finally done! All the bands are headed home and the tour is over! Hopefully Sanctus Real and Vota made it back to Denver. I met them near Johnstown on the way home - the Vota bus was having transmission problems. Keith, the guy we stayed with on Thursday night seemed to have things under control though. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoyed our photo blog! If you missed some pictures, I'll put all the links in here... plus, I took a bunch of pictures at tonight's show - they're in here too. Enjoy!:

I'm chillaxing at Cole's tonight. Today's show was fairly small. The guys played for a bunch of bikers at the Courtyard. We are all excited to be back with the lifelight tour again tomorrow! See you there. Yep!

Casting Pearls/Vota has one dang nice bus. I swear they even have satellite television. I got to go in... I like it. I want to tour in one of those.

Update: not only satellite television... they've got wireless internet through that satellite dish too... haha! I'm sitting in the Rough Draft van with internet from the Vota bus!

Good Morning 2...

With the exception of the fact that this basement is like 32 degrees, we slept very very well last night. So well, in fact, that Pedro is still asleep... haha!

Hope you're all doing well! Pueblo tonight. It's an outdoor show, and RD is up at 5pm(ish) with all the big bands (including Sanctus) following. If you're in Pueblo, come join us! And don't forget to check out the pictures from the last few nights below!

Everyone is finally awake... even Dave. We got home from Haxtun at like 3 this morning... blek. Anywho, tonight Rough Draft will be playing down at Mr. Biggs in Colorado Springs! EVERYBODY should come... it'll be amazing.

Rough Draft Blog - Day 1

It's 2:19am. Haxtun tonight. And Andrew and I just finished up some SWEET Videos. I am the bird voice in the second one... so make sure you listen to the bird sounds... seriously

New pictures! WOOT! I spent today with the camera. I've got a few in the backyard, a bunch with the dog, and then I spent the night up on bluffs. Wow I love this thing. The two lenses are amazing... so is night mode. I'll be taking pictures out on tour this week too and I'll post them here if I can, and probably on the Rough Draft Flickr if I can too.

Cameras, Companies, and Coolness

Today was an interesting day.

For starters companies. KAH studios will be formally dissolving later this month and we'll be splitting into two companies. The band side will stay right here at Blaze. The other stuff is now all being shifted to a company known as 'corePHP'. I've been working there for a few years now, and figured it was about time I moved the rest of KAH studios over there.

Second off cameras. To heck with the good old Olympus C-740 Ultrazoom. I've gone all out now, sporting an Olympus E-420, a 14-42mm lense, and a 40-150mm lense. Thank the maker for the Four Thirds mount! More pics coming soon... as soon as I get outside to take some.

Last but not least, the coolness. Next week, I'll be out on the Lifelight tour with Rough Draft! They'll be going across the Front Range with Sanctus Real, Vota (former Casting Pearls for all you music experts), Willet, and Remedy Drive! Here's the schedule:

Early Morning

It's currently 4:30am here... and once again, I can't sleep. Reminds me of a hiking morning - being up this early. I should probably try to sleep some more...

Yesterday was a long day. Another day of trying to figure out who I as a person... another day where I dealt with my personalities conflicting with one another. I know I need to change, but change comes slowly for me...

I long for the mountains to be melted off. This whole Denver thing is getting very old, very fast. However, there is one possible bright spot. Looks like this whole new band idea might just take off after all...
